SPRING DANCE PRODUCTION
WHEN: Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th
WHERE: Norwalk High School Performing Arts Center
TIME: 7:30 P.M.
Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. Dancers will have an assigned dressing room. They are to remain in the dressing room for the duration of the show. No dancers will be permitted in the auditorium during the show. Parents, please make sure that your child is in her assigned dressing room. If the dancers are not where they are supposed to be, the backstage workers will not go searching for them. PARENTS ARE PERMITTED IN THE DRESSING ROOM, BUT NO PARENTS ARE PERMITTED BACKSTAGE.
Dancers are to wear costumes and the proper color tights and shoes. Makeup is to be worn, and hair should be pulled up so that it is out of the face. Please remember that stage makeup needs to be heavily applied. The dancers' faces need to show up under the heavy lights. Underwear is not to be worn, as it shows lines and hangs out of costumes.
Video-taping is not permitted on show nights. You may video on dress rehearsal, and you may also purchase a video of the show. Also, there is no flash photography permitted. This is strictly for the safety of the dancers. Please instruct all family members and guests of this rule.
PARENTS...Please ensure that your child is supervised in the dressing room. If she is too young to be left unattended at home, she is too young to be left unattended backstage. The studio does not have enough staff to provide supervision, and supervising your child is not the responsibility of the other mothers. Please make proper arrangements for your child if you are not planning on staying in the dressing room with her.
Please remember that these dancers have worked all year for this weekend. This time of year is very hectic, the nights are slightly long, and the kids may get tired. Recital, however, is only one weekend per year. Please make every effort to allow the kids to stay until finale and have their special moment.
